5 Reasons why you should arrange for Airport Pickup as an International Student:

Unless you are received by your siblings or a relative at the airport,  it is critical for any international student entering the U.S.  to arrange for an airport pickup in advance - here are a few reasons:

  1. You will need local currency to be able to get a cab. However, Semtus accepts payment in foreign currency 
  2. You are in a totally new country, it is important to have someone who understands the system to help you out.
  3. Not all schools have direct transportation from the airport. You may have to take a train/bus, which could lead to you getting lost in a new country.
  4. You are carrying a lot of luggage, moving around with that kind of luggage to a bus/train from the airport can be difficult.
  5. If you take a cab from the airport, get ready to wait in a long line.
  6. You will need to provide explicit directions to your destination.
